I am 100% certain it won’t run Oblivion well. It has a Integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card which is pretty bad. It can play WC3 reasonably well but as far as “high” or even “mid” end games go, I wouldn’t try. The CPU/Graphics is not nearly sufficient for those types of games to be playable. Maybe if you put everything on Low and the lowest resolution if you do try. But to answer your question, This would not be a good choice to play “mid” to “high” end games. Hope that helps.

hey i have been wondering how high end gaming runs on the acer aspire one, i have yet to see how high end games ACTUALLY run. most game reviews online are of like half life or halo. i would like to see one of oblivion or something. just to know if it can go above 5 fps. if you can do this i would really appreciate it. im gonna buy a one, and this will be helpful. btw great vid!

(for everyone who reads this and asks why?, the one is more powerful then my current desktop which does play oblivion)

I have the Avermedia Volar. I got it about a year ago for around 50 bucks. So it is probably around 50 or under these days. I haven’t tried any other ones so I couldn’t really recommend another brand other than the one I own, which works great.

Thank you for this video… I’m so curious to which usb hdtv stick you have? or which one do you recommend…

  8. TurboPK says:

possibly. I don’t know the compatibility with Linux. The one I have is for xp/vista.

Where did you get the TV card? You must be in my area as you are getting the same channels I do, I’m in VA. I also got the Aspire one, I was going to get it at best buy but they quit carrying them for some reason so I found it at microcenter. Kewl Video!

I wouldn’t count on it working while in a car. Unless you are like really, really, close to the broadcast station of the channel you are watching. But to be honest, I don’t think it would work. Digital TV is not like analog where you can get fuzzy picture. Digital TV either…you get it and its clear or you get no signal at all. So I wouldn’t count on it.

I if am riding in a car down the highyway, can I watch T.V without having the broadcast changing station numbers every second or is it like every state or something?
