If I buy a ps3, do I still need to buy an HDTV? or can I still use the old ones at home?
hdtv advice
Ramora Desoleb asked:

My sister says a ps3 isn’t worth it without a big HDTV to go along with it, but I don’t want to spend anymore money. Any advice?

It’ll work fine on a standard def. tv, just, obviously, not look quite as good. I had mine that way for a year until i’d scraped enough cash for a new tv.

you can use what comes in the box to plug straight into a standard tv, if you want to use a hdtv you will need a special lead bought seperatly

you dont beed a HD but it will look amazing on one, also while in standard defintion, a lot of the Playstation Store is cut off, so theres not as many items on screen which can be very annoying,

Sorry buy your sis is right. The PS3 will most definitely work with a standard-def TV but then whats the point of having a PS3? Your Blu-ray movies and PS3 games won’t be HD. Spend a little bit more and get an HDTV. You’ll be happy you did.
