Should I wait till after Christmas to buy my HDTV?

Is everything a Violation on Y!A asked:

I am planning on buying an HDTV, I am shooting for 50-52″ with 1080p, so I can get the most out of my blueray player. I find some decent LCDs and Plasmas for about 1200-1400 dollars. Should I buy now or should I see if they will drop in price with after Christmas sales?

You have electronic stores that offer services like price match plus.

If you find the same model at a cheaper price somewhere else, or if it drops at the store, they will give you 110% of the difference.

Try to stay name brand. Brands like Sylvania, Element, Vizio, etc. have a larger fail rate and are impossible to get parts for at times. 50-52 inch for only 1200 is either a really good deal, or a not so good TV.

I’m not saying that the off brands are going to fail, but you’re rolling the dice on it.

    Happy shopping.

After Christmas, the next big price drop is just before the Super Bowl.

After xmas is not always better. This time of year (last minute xmas shopping) you can find some real bargains. Some are deep discounts and some offer extra’s for free that you would end up buying anyways and costing more if you had to buy them separately. try thousands of items to look for and almost all have customer reviews. The site is also backed by amazon so no matter what brand you are looking for I am sure you will find it and more than likely cheaper than anywhere else.
